I have said it previously in my posts and would repeat again: I feel our society are moving too fast.
To me, I don’t like this phenomena because I believe that doing things fast doesn’t mean anything if we don’t enjoy it. Doing things efficiently doesn’t matter if it isn’t effective. There is nothing in achievement if there is no joy in the process.
I have often seen this phenomena and would often tell my peers the same thing. I feel our society are rushing too much. I see people rushing into college/university, into relationships (but surprisingly not into marriage), into careers, and any other thing we could think about. We move about endlessly without enjoying our time. We fail to stop and “feel the breeze”.
I haven’t find any reasoning as to why everyone is so rushed in their life. They not only rush in the major things in life but also the minor things in life. Things like going to work, eating, bathing and many daily activities.
I find it hard to understand what’s the hurry at times.

I guess probably we are so caught up in the so-called competitive nature of our society. There is this deep rooted belief that being faster is better, being first is better. I often find this notion ridiculous because I believe that each of us have different paths in life. You might seem to be faster or slower than someone else in the game called “life”, but actually there is no race. The so-called race is just a mere illusion.
We don’t have to get to anywhere in life. We don’t have to “go far” in life.
We are at our own paths. We might be slow or fast based upon the perception of society, but realize that it doesn’t matter because a fulfilled life isn’t based on the perception on society. It’s solely based upon the perception of yourself and where you are.
This quotes put it so well: “Losers compare their achievement with other people, winners compare their achievement with their goals.”
We have to realize that this life is for us to live. We don’t have to live based upon the goals and the expectation of others. Living based upon the perception of others is what the ego does. The ego is such in that it craves the approval of others constantly. It desires for the envy of others. It always find for value from their something outside of the self.
I believe that this is the reason why people are moving at fast paced at the moment- because of the need to please something which is outside of the self.
Slow down. Slowing down doesn’t mean that you are worse off or that you are lazy. It’s just that you learn how to enjoy the process of learning and growing in the scheme of life. You are not a part of the crazy race to get to the top of the mountain, which doesn’t matter at all to you.
Take your time to slowly find the mountain peak that you desire and slowly take your time up that peak. Realize that a true life of fulfillment is a life in which we put joy as a top priority, instead of putting achievement as the main agenda.
I have seen many people spend their days in finding achievement, while putting joy at the backseat. Always keep in mind that the only life that is worthy of living is one which has joy in it, not one filled with achievement.
Success is truly a journey and not a destination.

Take your time. Slow down to enjoy the breeze. Stop and listen to the sounds of peace.
Only when someone who knows how to enjoy the present would know how to enjoy whatever “achievement” that they have. Someone who doesn’t know how would be always striving, not knowing when to stop.
Life is as perfect as it is in the moment.
